This was inspired by a recent exhibition in London where I got to show some of my work. Along with it was a QR code by stitchFIGHT, a genius embroiderer. It was such a hit, I just had to have a go. It’s very similar to stitchFIGHT’s code, but I took it to the next level. And it works too! Have a try.

Sadly, the colours make it hard to read for some readers, but it does work on some.

3D Transforming Soundwave Cross Stitch

This is the third in my series of transforming cross stitches.
After doing my optimus prime transformer and jetfire transformer, people started to notice me. I had a few requests for other patterns, in the majority was this one, sound wave.
The previous tapes I made fit into his cassette deck, and there are a few more coming. I also wanted to have a little more fun with this one, and try to make it as best I could on the first try, so it also has two batteries in his back which convert to a cannon on his shoulder and a gun on his arm.
I am also planning on making a starscream, and might try my hand at megaton, although he is going to be EXTREMELY hard to do…

I just fell in love with this pattern as soon as I saw it. Its simplicity, and how it looks back at the traditional sampler (Which before this I hadn’t yet done) yet plays on the pallet town pokemon reference. I knew I had to stitch it, and I also knew it wouldn’t take long. I was slightly delayed however when I started stitching my christmas pokemon half way through it.
You should all check out FingerPrick’s website and etsy. Although most of her stuff isn’t video game related, its still got a load of good contemporary cross stitch.

It’s Christmas! I have fond memories of Christmas TV when I was a kid, and what really stands out was the Pokemon Christmas specials. I wanted to do something Christmasy and asked ristvak to do a few patterns for me, so I could make some cross stitch Pokemon baubles.

VIEW WITH RED/BLUE 3D GLASSES FOR FULL EFFECT!
After seeing a piece on Mr X Stitch I fell in love with the idea of doing a stereoscopic stitch. You have to wear red blue glasses to see the 3D, but hostly I think the image without is just a nice looking.
