53 Free Cross Stitch Alphabets

Sometimes you just don’t like working on a cross stitch pattern, or maybe you want to design a pattern of your own. So we’ve combined over 50 free cross stitch fonts and alphabets for you to download and use for free. Patterns increase in size as they go down the page. Just click the image to get a higher resolution version.
Most include upper case, lower case and numbers.
 
These alphabet patterns are provided for free private use. They can be used for any private pattern, however if you wish to use in a commercial setting, please contact me to ask permission (they’re free for commercial use too).

    Trying to print a few of the fonts, but even in landscape view, part of the alphabet is cut off. How do I copy and print the part that is cut off?

      Hey Ann,
      This is something to do with your printer settings I’m afraid. You need to look for the option called “stretch to fit” or “scale to fit”. This will stop parts being cut off and print the whole alphabet on one page.
      Hope that helps!

    Thank you for these. One can never have too many alphabets on file for future projects! Do you know of patternmakercharts? They have heaps of vintage (early C20th or thereabouts) charts available to download. Some are wonderfully over the top.
