Free Epic Pokemon All Generations Cross Stitch Pattern – Updated

epic pokemon all generations cross stitch
This is the big one. The most outrageous and insanely huge pattern I’ve found anywhere on the internet. It’s a combination of the first 5 generations of Pokemon, using generation 5 sprites. It’s basically a combination of the separate 5 epic pokemon generations cross stitch patterns we posted last week.
It’s a massive 798,000 stitches, with the finished piece well over a meter wide and tall on 14 count (almost 1.5m x 2m). If you attempt it, I salute you!

Stitch Count: 798w x 1000h
Finished Size: 57″ x 71.5″ or 145cm x 182cm (14ct)
Number of colors: 234 (DMC)

A few people have requested both color and black and white versions of the pattern. I’m working of this currently, however, due to its size the program keeps crashing…

Thinking of tackling this epic cross stitch? We have some great guides like where to find super large aida, how to tackle epic cross stitches, cross stitch gridding techniques and how to keep up motivation when tackling epic cross stitches.

Lastly, we have a few updates from people still stitching the pattern. First off we have Leona Walker who has managed to complete the whole thing in only 6 years! Kudos on how awesome this looks! We can’t wait for the first-ever finish!

Hi there, I just wanted to know why this pattern’s colors are not like from the lowest to the highest number (I dont know whats that called) and is there a way to get it with the numbers from lowest to highest. And if not what system did you use for the list?

    1. LordLibidan

      Hey!
You mean numerical order I think.
The numbers are based on which colors feature first. Its the default (and only) way to list colors in the KGchart program these were made in.
If you wanted to edit the list, I would suggest uploading the files into PatternKeeper. It allows you to track everything better, but also allows you to reorder the colors if you wanted.

Okey thank you for the tip!

I’m keen to try this project! I’ve found a large piece of aida measuring 200cm by 150cm, does that seem alright for this pattern or should I aim to find a larger piece?

    1. LordLibidan

Thats VERY tight. You’ll have only 2.5 cm (1 inch) either side of the stitching.
      It will fit though…

Hi just downloaded all the patterns and can’t seem to get the dmc list to show up to hand key it in or automatically come up on pattern keeper have downloaded it like 5 times it’s the 1st part on the left is there anything that can help with this ?

I’m afraid this is a bug with PatternKeeper that effects the top left only. Its been on their bug “to-fix” list for a few years now.

Hi, this one has more colours than the other epic ones. But are the 105 colours of those also in this one and are they coded the same? In other words, is the colour theme the same? Thanks!

    1. LordLibidan

      Hi,
No, the other epics are a different set that uses different colors.

      1. Sanne

Oh that’s a bummer. Although it seems to me that a lot of the same numbers are used and that a lot of tose numbers have the same coding? But I have chosen to do do this one instead of the generation 2 one anyway Yesterday I orderder a 200x180cm aida cloth!! Had to order it in England. I live in the Netherlands, but they do’nt sell here such large pieces. Oh well, stupid brexit but I will pay the douane costs happily. I’m doing other projects first. And while I’m doing that I can get al the dmc, code it and figure out the pattern and placement. Loving it! Thank you sooo much for making this available!
        Kind regards, Sanne

I’ve managed to put all but 1 of the patterns into my pattern keeper app
The only one that won’t load in is top right
Wondering if there is a solution to this
