This is the big one. The most outrageous and insanely huge pattern I’ve found anywhere on the internet. It’s a combination of the first 5 generations of Pokemon, using generation 5 sprites. It’s basically a combination of the separate 5 epic pokemon generations cross stitch patterns we posted last week.
It’s a massive 798,000 stitches, with the finished piece well over a meter wide and tall on 14 count (almost 1.5m x 2m). If you attempt it, I salute you!
Stitch Count: 798w x 1000h
Finished Size: 57″ x 71.5″ or 145cm x 182cm (14ct)
Number of colors: 234 (DMC)

A few people have requested both color and black and white versions of the pattern. I’m working of this currently, however, due to its size the program keeps crashing…
Thinking of tackling this epic cross stitch? We have some great guides like where to find super large aida, how to tackle epic cross stitches, cross stitch gridding techniques and how to keep up motivation when tackling epic cross stitches.
Lastly, we have a few updates from people still stitching the pattern. First off we have Leona Walker who has managed to complete the whole thing in only 6 years! Kudos on how awesome this looks! We can’t wait for the first-ever finish!
Secondly we have the mother of Reddit user HerenJames who completed the pattern in 8 years!

So I have been able to load top right, bottom left, and bottom right into pattern keeper. However, top left refuses to load correctly. I have downloaded and uploaded the color and the black and white version (several times). I have uploaded it from the internet, my email, my google docs (android tablet) and each time when I look at the mock up and verify the symbols, a good chunk of them are gone and when I look at the mark up, the symbols that should be there are not. Do you have any tips on how to get this last part to load correctly?
Hi there! Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get all four patterns merged into one in pattern keeper? I tried merging the PDFs then uploading to pattern keeper but pattern keeper said the grid sizes didn’t match. I checked each grid size and they all seemed the same. Any help /tips are appreciated.
I’m afraid, due to the overlap sections within each part, PatternKeeper can’t currently cope with combining all files together into one. Sorry!
I have started this piece. Going to take forever but I love how it looks so far!
Hey!
I just came across this while looking for pokemon artworks and think this looks pretty good!
I would like to know who the original artist is.
It’s an official Pokemon company image.
Hi, I know it says the colors and things but I plan on doing this really soon and was wondering how big of aida I should in inches get im pretty new to this but I wanna tackle this as I love pokemon!
Hey!
It depends on what count you plan to stitch it on. Based on your comment, I’m assuming you’re a beginner to cross stitch, so I would suggest 14 count.
This means you need at least 150cm x 190cm. However, I would suggest 175cm x 220cm or even 190cm x 260cm.
Hey! I was hoping to attempt this project, but I’m a little stumped on how to get the supplies. Where should I go to find cloth that big?
It can be hard sometimes, so we made a post about how to find super sized aida to help out!
