As the opposite of the rebel logo cross stitch for the Star Wars cross stitch book I created the, and I’m still not 100% happy. The top and bottom spaces just look a little wrong… You can find the Rebel logo cross stitch and mixed star wars logos cross stitch on my portfolio page.

Question! This picture and the picture in the book seem to indicate only black stitching, but the diagram in the book fills in the blank spaces with white stitches. Would you leave them blank?

We had a long discussion about this with the publisher and Disney!
Officially, the logo only appears on a white background, so if you aren’t stitching it on white aida, then you should technically stitch the white background. But if you’re stitching it on white aida, then there is no need (and I personally would not)!

Thank you! I’m on white aida so I will skip the “extra” white stitches, but I can see having them there if you weren’t on white. I’m very much enjoying stitching my way through the book; as soon as I finish this one, it’s on to Boba Fett.

Fun fact: the Boba Fett pattern was the first one I designed and was not only the inspiration behind the book, but the only pattern that made its way from the original concept to being included in the book without any changes!
