With the DMC thread company being in operation for well over 270 years, it’s no wonder that they’ve had to discontinue a few threads. And whilst we’ve looked into the reasons DMC threads have been discontinued I couldn’t find a full list anywhere. So, please find the attached list, with replacements (if there is one):

    Michaels just clearanced some of the Coloris colors. I can’t figured out if it is Michaels being Michaels or if that means the colors have been discontinued.

    What replaces #529 DMC?

      I’m afraid there hasn’t been a DMC 529 (that we know of). Was this number taken from a kit? In most kits, they add their own numbers, or don’t use DMC threads.
      There is a brand called Needlepoint Inc that does a silk thread numbered 529, its a dark green/jade color. Is this the one you’re looking for a replacement for?

    It’s an unfinished one that I’ve just picked up and discovered that I can’t find these silks – Charts and Charms 72425 Alluring Sorceress.

      Hi!
      This kit has a shopping list for both DMC threads and Anchor threads. The colors you’ve listed are all Anchor threads, and still in production.
      You should be able to pick these up easily, but note that you need EITHER DMC or Anchor to complete the pattern, not both.
