Free Epic Pokemon All Generations Cross Stitch Pattern – Updated

epic pokemon all generations cross stitch
This is the big one. The most outrageous and insanely huge pattern I’ve found anywhere on the internet. It’s a combination of the first 5 generations of Pokemon, using generation 5 sprites. It’s basically a combination of the separate 5 epic pokemon generations cross stitch patterns we posted last week.
It’s a massive 798,000 stitches, with the finished piece well over a meter wide and tall on 14 count (almost 1.5m x 2m). If you attempt it, I salute you!

Stitch Count: 798w x 1000h
Finished Size: 57″ x 71.5″ or 145cm x 182cm (14ct)
Number of colors: 234 (DMC)

A few people have requested both color and black and white versions of the pattern. I’m working of this currently, however, due to its size the program keeps crashing…

Thinking of tackling this epic cross stitch? We have some great guides like where to find super large aida, how to tackle epic cross stitches, cross stitch gridding techniques and how to keep up motivation when tackling epic cross stitches.

Lastly, we have a few updates from people still stitching the pattern. First off we have Leona Walker who has managed to complete the whole thing in only 6 years! Kudos on how awesome this looks! We can’t wait for the first-ever finish!

Secondly we have the mother of Reddit user HerenJames who completed the pattern in 8 years!

Hey, excited to finally start on this! Could I check if this is the latest pattern and there’s not another max color version somewhere? (Also is there a plan to do a even larger gen 1-8 combined haha that I should wait for?)

I’m gonna shrink this down to a more manageable size, but can’t really decide between 22c Hardanger or 25c lugana – any advice?

    Thanks!

Hey! No, there isn’t another version, this is it 😀
We’re not planning another “all generations” pattern, it’s so large programs are struggling to process it correctly.
I assume you’re planning a 1 over 1 on those count fabrics? I personally prefer lugana, and if you use 25 count you can use one thread rather than 2. This would cut down the cost by half 😀

Thanks, that’s great to know 🙂

Yea I’m planning over 1 to reduce the size (and I like the “high resolution” look).

Thanks for the reply! Ok..here we gooo

Where did you end up buying your fabric from, I am having trouble finding fabric that would be cut large enough

    Hello,
I wanted to download the 4 files in the pattern keeper software but most of the symbols are not displayed, it’s a shame
Is it possible to remedy this?

    1. LordLibidan

I’m afraid the patterns aren’t currently fully compatible with Pattern Keeper. We’re working with the software coders at the moment, but you may see issues like this. Sorry!

Is anyone else able to put the top left pattern into Pattern Keeper? When I try, it asks about overlap and then it only reads a few of the symbols. All the other quadrants work just fine.

In the color table for the epic Pokémon crossstitch pattern, what are the DMC nuembers for the symbol //? It is showing 3 different numbers when I look at it on the download. It is like this on all 4 of the downloaded files. Thank you.

      Hey Jamie,
Just to confirm; the symbols are not shared across the 4 patterns.

The numbers you’re looking for are:
      Top right – 375
      Bottom right – 827
      Botton left – 340

I have downloaded and successfully converted all 7 of the available generations, plus 3 of the 4 all gen files. But for some reason the top left file refuses to convert properly into pattern keeper. It will not show all of the symbols. Even bottom left went through fine with 107 colors yet top left absolutely refuses. I have tried color and b&w. Am I doing something incorrect? Its the only file asking me about an overlap and I have tried so many different options and they all come up with the same symbols and its missing at least 2/3 of them. How can I get this imported properly so I can start this with my diamonds?

      Hi Sierra,
I’m afraid Pattern Keeper currently doesn’t support patterns made in PCstitch, so there are issues. We’re working with the makers and hope to be able to get full compatibility soon.
