When working from home, like many of us, I turn the TV on in the background, and at the moment Friends is playing on repeat non-stop. It’s no surprise then that I’ve fallen back in love with it!
So when I was tralling Temu to see if it was bad for cross stitch, and found a cheap Friends frame, I knew I had to stitch something!

I had always thought that the back of my door was a little plain with cross stitch covering every other wall, and so it made sense to stitch something up for the back of the door. And what else would work other than a peephole?
I roughed something up quickly and then started stitching, but once complete it just looked a little boring. So I thought about stitching up the logo to add to the bottom.

This is where I came a little unstuck though. There are frankly hundreds of logo cross stitch patterns out there for Friends, but as I needed to fit it to a specific frame, on a specific count, most were either way too large, or way too small and didn’t even look like the logo!
This is when I came across GrumpyStitcher’s Etsy store with a great logo. It was still way too big (25 stitches too wide) so I had to edit it, reduce the size of the dots, and move it closer together, but I think it came out great in the end!

Finding how to attach it to my door was a whole different thing though; I hadn’t quite worked out how to do that before stitching it up!!!

Happy stitching,
Lord Libidan
