I’m a massive Futurama fan, but after coming off two back-to-back Futurama cross stitches in December 2023 (mini Bessie ship cross stitch and Slurm can cross stitch), I haven’t even so much as watched a Futurama episode. Thankfully, the new season is now out, and its first episode “One Amigo” got me right back in the mood for some Futurama cross stitch!
The whole episode revolves around a series of NFTs created by Bender, of Bender. They show a whole bunch throughout the episode, but one kept coming up, and kept catching my eye; Admiral Bender.
I think this plays off his time as a Captain in the episode “The Birdbot of Ice-Catraz” as it has the same hat, but he also has a suave new jacket with epaulets.

Each of the NFTs are actually pixel art and only about 90 pixels square, so I knew it would be easy to convert into a cross stitch pattern and stitch up, especially as I had some light blue aida on hand from another project!

This little cross stitch might not be an NFT worth stealing by the Futurama crew, but I think it’s a great addition to my collection of portraits that I haven’t touched since my Gordon Freeman Hal Life portrait cross stitch back in 2013!

I wondered if I should stitch up more of these little fellas, and collect the whole series! What do you think?

Happy stitching!
