is it possible to alter the by number table so that the hard to find numbers are in their own separate table? I’ve been trying to play around with it but the moment I do, the lookup function stops working.

Not without a lot of giggery pokery I’m afraid.
The forumla’s look up a hidden sheet.

Ugh thank you so so much. This is outstanding and I don’t know why you’re not selling it instead of offering it for free but thank you.

I just got a bunch of old DMC thread, and the numbers don’t seem to be on your chart. for example, 530, 804, 360 (and a bunch more). Any ideas?

      Hi Carrie,
Those sound like Anchor threads, not DMC.
DMC don’t use those numbers to differentiate themselves from Anchor.
      Hope that helps!

I just noticed, that if I put in an amount of say 15 in owned under the Threads by number, it doesn’t appear on the treads by color. Maybe that would be an idea for an update? 🙂 Otherwise people have to put it in more than once.

I’m afraid so. This used to be something we had, but its requires a macro and a lot of people had issues opening it as macros on excel sheets can often have viruses in them.
As a result we decided to remove this feature.
