We’ve covered many of DMC’s odd choices in the past, such as US-only threads and thread lot issues, but this one might just take the crown as the biggest mistake of them all; misprinted DMC threads!
It appears that multiple shipments of DMC threads have been printed with incorrect numbers, and we’ve been able to confirm their presence in both the US and UK (no where else just yet).
The thread in question is DMC 746, which has been added to a blue DMC 794.
We know so far that DMC is aware, but a recall has not been announced. In addition, we do not know which stores are holding these threads (we do know Michels in America and some independant stores in the UK), and if the problem goes further than just this single thread color.
So for all of us out there; do check your thread colors (not just the number) when picking up DMC threads for the foreseeable future!
