Where can I buy this new updated card. Mine is 30 years old, the very first card you made
Just to confirm; we’re not associated with DMC in anyway.
However you can purchase one on their website
There are a few colors, such as 3326, that has a smaller number in parenthesis. Just wanted to clarify, does that mean the number in the parenthesis has been discontinued? Renumbered? I am trying to get my current stash sorted and wasn’t sure if I should make spots for both sets or just one.. Thank you!!
The ones in the brackets are the only officially discontinued DMC threads, so you won’t be able to pick them up if you’re buying new threads.
This information is amazing! Thank you for the work you’ve put into assembling all of this information! My daughter has started doing needlework, so I’m going through my floss so I can share with her.
I’m having trouble figuring out the right way to download or print the color families chart. It says to click on it for a larger view or to download. When I try to download, it only saves the link. What am I doing wrong?
Depending on the device, browser and settings you have, this might happen. If you right click (if on desktop) or press and hold (if on a mobile device) you should get a series of options pop up. One will be “save image”. This will download the larger image.
That makes perfect sense! I hadn’t tried to access it with my laptop. Thanks for your quick response!
These resources are so helpful – thank you! Just curious – what does the E indicate in the “Color To Column Locator Table”? Those entries indicate columns 22 & 23, but the color chart only has 20 columns.
Those are the light effect threads. I’ve not included them in the color chart image.
What do the large asterisks beside certain DMC colors on this chart mean? Thanks!
Those are part of the “new” 35 DMC threads from 2013.
