I just found an old colour chart and assorted threads. Some of them have a code 4 or 25 on one of the labels that is not a colour code. Also on the bottom of the chart there are code categories: Art 117, 115 with categories 3,5
    Art 118 with categories 5,8&12
I don’t know what these mean as I primarily have only used DMC for embroidery. The chart was published January 1986

For a cross stitcher; you can ignore all of this!
Essentually, the numbers relate to the types of thread you can buy that color in. For example Art 115 is pearl cotton, which comes in sizes “3” and “5”.
The “standard” embroidery threads are Art 117, and the color chart you have will have only colors that are sold in Art 117 (or were sold back in 1986).

Thank you for your reply. I oddly don’t do cross stitch. I inherited many threads from my sister who did amazing needlepoint and collected enormous amounts of thread. I do fibre art which encompasses all types and thicknesses of threads along with fabrics and ribbons so I will definitely download more of the colour charts

Several years ago, I purchased a color chart for all of DMC’s satin floss thread. The chart was folded in three sections and was made of a thin cardboard. I wonder if you make such an item, and how much it would cost?
    Please let me know
    Thanks, Ms. Greear

You used to be able to get one direct from DMC, but they stopped selling them recently. I would check eBay to see if you can get one from there.
I’m afraid we don’t create physical pbjects like this for sale though.
