Everyone loves a good collection of threads, but unless you have the whole set of DMC threads you’re going to need a way to keep track of what you have, and haven’t got. That’s why we created this awesome colored spreadsheet of all standard, metallic, variations, variegated, Coloris and Étoile 6 strand DMC threads, so you can keep track.

Just click the link or image and save the spreadsheet. You can access it on your computer, phone, or put it through googledocs!

I just need an inventory sheet that I had in the past. Where there is the DMC number and a blank square to check my colors off. Is that here? I can’t find it. I want the thread numbers just the blank sheet. Thanks

    I have some threads in the 6000+ number range. They are 6177, 6176, 6172, 6171, 6212, 6243, 6203, 6159, 6181, 6198, 6187, 6307, 6303, 6109, 6068, 6067. All of which I can’t find on the DMC website. I’m assuming that they have been discontinued since the pattern kit they came in is from 2004.

I also have some other numbers (some low, some in the 3000+ range) that I can’t find on their website.

I’m trying to make sure I have the right color of thread (the pattern gives you the name and number of the thread, but DID NOT separate them, I have to) to go with the name of the color they say it should be, but my major problem is that you have like 8 different shades of green and 7 different shades of Grey, 5 shades of blue, and 10 different shades of red/pink/coral.

Any help is appreciated. Also, what does the * mean in your above files?

      Hi!
So there are two possible reasons for the numbers you have.
The first is that they are Candamar threads; the design will usually say Candamar Designs if this is the case. They use their own threads with their own threads numbers. They can be converted if this is the case.
The second option is that the pattern maker has used their own numbers for those threads, but use DMC or another brand. If this is the case, it will be almost impossible to find the threads you need.

I think, based on what you’re saying, you have Candamar threads. If so, just shout, and I’ll send you a converter for the thread numbers!

Thank you so much! I have found some DMC that are not on the list. Is there a way to add them?
Thank you again for all of your hard work.

    1. LordLibidan

We’ve worked with DMC and done a lot of research, so there shouldn’t be any missing threads. If you do think you have some, can you drop us the numbers and we will research and possibly add them.
As for adding threads, yes, you can do this! Simply unlock the sheet, add the thread into your column of choice. Then open sheet1 (its hidden) and add it there too.
